I know EXACTLY where everything is and can usually get in and out in under 30 minutes. Recently, Steve and I decided we would host a small 4th of July gathering in our backyard. I always get a bit overwhelmed when planning a party. There’s the cleaning, cooking, and decorating that always seem to take longer than I plan. Without fail, I ALWAYS end up forgetting something that I need.
Last weekend when I was doing my typical Sunday afternoon grocery shopping, I went down the decor aisle at Stop & Shop and was shocked to see all they had to offer! I picked up so many festive 4th of July party pieces like plates, napkins, string lights, flags, necklaces and more! I decorated my backyard with the items and it turned out great!

After browsing through Stop & Shop’s recipe center “Savory,” I was inspired to make a tasty red, white and blue dessert for the celebration (watch video above)! For me, EASY is always best, so I went for mini Raspberry Shortcakes! I purchased raspberries, blueberries, whip cream, and a pack of dessert shells. I layered the whip cream, raspberries and blueberries on top of each shell. Lastly, I stuck a mini flag in each for the final 4th of July touch!
